William Pasfield

Director, Operations, Furniture Specialist & Auctioneer

Will is a Director of Bellmans and has acquired much expertise and many hats since starting here 25 years ago. He is a furniture specialist, but also Chief of Logistics. He spent a couple of years delivering Fine Art across Europe, working for Gander & White, and meeting some of the best-known art collectors in the process, before returning to Bellmans. This clearly paid off, ensuring there is now "nothing Bellmans can't do", from shifting grand pianos to relocating 20ft statues. Will is an expert in taking the weight of clients' shoulders when it comes to dealing with all aspects of clearing a property.

Although he started his career in the auction world by chance, when his father managed to secure him his first job at Bellmans, he hasn't looked back and loves his job every day. Will has developed a real passion for antique furniture, fascinated by the history and stories behind it.

His favourite pastime is spending time with his young family and faithful black labrador and coaching the Midhurst Juniors Rugby Team, and he still finds additional time to enjoy a spot of shooting, fishing and countryside life.

Career highlight: organising many single-owner sales, including Stockton House, Belgrave Square and the Sir David Tang Collection.

Fantasy discovery: being handed keys to a house for our top-to-bottom attention; making some discoveries in the process and selecting the items for a Bellmans auction.
