European Ceramics Auctions
Bellmans' European Ceramics Department covers European and British porcelain and glass and dedicated English and European Ceramic auctions are held bi-monthly, while our glassware sales are part of our Interiors Auctions.
Recent highlights include a collection of Royal Worcester porcelain, with fine examples of Stinton and Baldwyn, which cumulatively sold for over £30,000. Other highlights include a large 16th century German stoneware jug, a so called Bartmann Krug, which reached £8,400, while a Russsian soviet porcelain oval tray from 1920 fetched £7,500 and a pair of Derby pigeon tureens (circa 1760) made £1,900.
Our specialists have decades of experience in both British and European ceramics and glass. Bellmans sells to both specialist dealers as well as private collectors in the UK and internationally, with a strong following in America and Europe.
Valuations take place both in our Sussex Saleroom and our London office on Cromwell Place, South Kensington, as well as 'pop-up' valuation days across the country. Preliminary estimates can also be provided via email and we are delighted to arrange home visits.
