After leaving college, Lee worked as a carpenter, before an introduction via a friend led Lee to Bellmans at the beginning of 2012. It didn’t take long for a passion for antiques to take hold, and with an enquiring mind and a lot of voluntary homework Lee is now quite the Silver expert, with his own enviable collection of Victorian novelty small-work. Lee is also able to assist in general valuations with increasing expertise, as well as cataloguing and portering – and alongside other colleagues, always brings a ‘can do’ attitude.
When not polishing up on his silver know-how, Lee can be found course fishing, playing football, or rummaging around antique fairs and markets.
Most Memorable Moment: taking a phone bid on a Victorian dining table that started at £500 and eventually closed at a whopping £50,000... Nerve-wracking at the time, but incredibly exciting!
Wishful Find: Lee’s dream find would be a piece of Fabergé amidst a mixed bag lot.
