OFFICIAL NEWS TELEGRAPHS - a collection of 135 ms. telegraph bulletins, August 1914 - April 1918, handwritten by the local postmaster, on 'Post Office Telegraphs' thin letterhead paper, mostly 15 - 20 lines, 26cm. x 21cm.,many dated for 1915 - 1918; for display in Angemering village post office, West Sussex, & 4 bulletins, (news from 10 Downing St.) relating to the 3 day railway strike, Sept, 1919; include Gallipoli, Dardanelles, Ypres, Vimy Ridge, Verdun, High Wood, Galacia, Petrograd, Egypt, Italy, France etc., battles fought on land & at sea, asphyxiating gas shell attacks and Zeppelin L15 shot down over the Kent coast 1916.
