A good English enamel green-ground tea canister and cover, probably South Staffordshire, circa 1770, of quatrelobed form, one side painted with a panel of exotic birds in a landscape, the reverse painted with a sailing vessel and figures ,alternating with smaller panels of flowers and birds inside raised gold rococo scrollwork frames, 14cm. wide by 12cm. high, (2). Illustrated.

Condition Report
Small areas of restoration and hairline cracks around top rim of body, lacking some of the white enamel to the lid. Minor wear to gilding.
