Request a valuation >The Bellmans 7th December Toy Sale will include a large single owner collection of dolls, belonging to Mrs Wendy Foster. Mrs Foster started collecting, repairing and selling dolls in 1966. Once her hobby completely filled her family home, opening a shop seemed the only option.
‘Wendy’s’ on Anne Street became the new home to this large collection, where the shop window was always beautifully displayed and enjoyed by the people of Worthing. Mrs Forster repaired many dolls, both for trade and private clients and regularly repaired dolls for Worthing Museum. In spite of her prowess and reputation for repairs and her love and passion for dolls, the Worthing shop closed and lead to the growth of the repair business and private collection. Along with dolls, Teddy bears also joined this already established collection.
The sale will commence on the 7th December at 10am.
We hope that the each doll and Teddy bear will be as well loved and appreciated as it was by M rs Forster.
The catalogue will be available at www.bellmans.co.uk from the 29th November.
