Jonathan Pratt & Antiques Road Trip Celebrities Run The Great North Run in Aid of SANDS

This September, Jonathan Pratt, Managing Director at Bellmans Auctioneers along with celebrity specialists from the BBC Antiques Road Trip is running The Great North Run in aid of SANDS, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity. The team of seventeen include team leader; Charles Hanson, Thomas Plant, Charlie Ross, Philip Serrell and members of the production team.

SANDS provide an invaluable service and support to parents and families suffering with the loss of a baby during pregnancy or after the birth. SANDS also provides memory boxes to parents where special mementos are stored. The seventeen runners represent the 17 babies that are stillborn each day in the UK.

On the 15th September 2013 the team will start their 13.1mile run in Newcastle and will be cheered on by spectators and live music until their finish in South Shields.

Jonathan Pratt comments ‘I am extremely excited and privileged to be running the Great North Run for such a worthy cause. I have certainly upped the training, running those extra few miles every evening in anticipation of the big day. I hope that the money raised helps towards making a difference to the parents and family going through such a tragic loss.
