A large pair of Chinese famille rose two handled baluster vases, 19th century, each side painted with a large figurative panel, the waisted necks with smaller figure panels, against a light blue ground filled with birds, flowers, fruit and Buddhist emblems, 61cm high, adapted as lamps, with wood stands and shades.

Condition report

Vase one: both handles broken off and re-stuck and with losses, neck heavily damaged/repaired and restored and with small losses, one or two small hairline cracks.
Vase two: one handle ok, the other heavily restored in a very poor fashion, the shoulder and neck broken in a number of places. The neck re-stuck in many places with very bad damage and many losses, Painting generally in good condition to bodies.
Bodies well painted.
