Condition report

The earrings are unmarked. There is significant variation in colour to the rubies, some are dark blood red with hints of orange, some are pale and more pink (almost magenta sapphire). However, these variations are relatively symmetrical; on each earring, the top ruby and one of the bottom rubies in the cluster are paler and more pink than the others. The rubies are likely to be lead glass filled. The rubies all have significant inclusions, some stress fractures as a result of treatment (please see additional images). In two rubies, these fractures come to the surface at the back in the form of chips/cracks. Three rubies have chips/nicks to the edges of the table facet. The diamonds are attractive white stones, with some internal inclusions. Chip to the table facet of one diamond. The central diamond to one earring has a fracture visible to the side when turned. The mounts are in good condition. Each triple cluster 1.85cm wide. 5cm long. Gross weight 11 gms.
