DESCRIPTION

A Meissen porcelain centre piece bowl on stand, late 19th century, blue crossed swords marks, the shaped oval bowl with figural putto handles and pierced frieze, hand painted with period figures at leisure against a gilt turquoise and gilt heightened ground, raised on four shell moulded scroll feet each painted with birds, the stand of shaped rectangular form, similarly decorated and with applied flowers to the four scroll feet (a.f.), the bowl 58cm wide across the handles, the stand 46cm wide.
