Sir Jacob Epstein (1880-1959) 'First portrait of Isabel', bronze with a brown patina, conceived in 1932, 53.3cm high and a contemporary limed oak pedestal, 83cm high.

Isabel Rawsthorne (1912-1992) was a muse and sitter for Epstein, Alberto Giacometti and Francis Bacon.

Condition report

All provenenance is included in the catalouge description and footnotes. Bronze 53.3cm high, 42cm wide. No damage or repair, nice rich patina consistant with age and handling. Later lined oak plinth.
