Madrid: Francisco Martinez, 1634. * (? continental) arms stamped in blind on covers & 19th cent. armorial bookplate (a branch of the Stirling family); original edition of this classic of the chase, especially boar hunting. Illustrated

Covers with wear along edges and at corners; spine worn and lacks v. sm. piece at head and sm. piece missing at foot; plts clean and plates mks. showing; some headlines, also text in prelims at top margin cut close/just shared (or sl. cropped in few cases, and clearly cropped in 6/7 instances); old mss. note concerning the volume on front blank (this, as the e/ps is later - i.e  ?date of binding).
