A gentleman's steel circular cased Rolex Oyster Chronograph wristwatch, the signed brown dial, detailed Rolex Oyster with gilt Arabic numerals and outer Telemeter scale and with two subsidiary dials, two side set cork buttons to the band, the winding button detailed Oyster Patent, the milled screw-off caseback numbered 186040 3525. The movement is working, but we do not guarantee reliability of time keeping, the movement is detailed Rolex Geneve 17 rubis fab. Suisse Swiss Made, and within the caseback Brevetee Rolex S.A. Haute Precision RWC Ltd, within an oval surround, the centre seconds stop and start button is working, return button is also working. Winding mechanism working, Rolex Oyster signature to dial is curved and is a little faded to ER of oyster and to R of Rolex, possibly as a result of sun fading and subsequent attempts at light cleaning, only traces of the words Chronograph and Antimagnetic remain, the words Fab Suisse are no longer apparent, the numerals and words to the dial are in good condition, the steel covering to the start and stop button is missing and is down to the base metal beneath, winding button clearly detailed Oyster Patent. Subsidiary seconds dial is working.
There are a few surface marks to the front of the case at the edge of the dial, the case is otherwise in good condition. There are a few marks to the milling and around the milling of the case back. The numbers to the case back are clear. Width between the lugs 1.7cm, dial diameter 3cm. The 30 minute recording dial is working.
There is no provenance to the watch. The watch has been entered for auction by a private vendor.
