Inspections and valuations for the purposes of Sale by Auction are undertaken free of charge.
We also provide a fast and efficient valuation service for the purpose of Inheritance Tax, Insurance, Family Division
and Willing Buyer/Willing Seller for which a charge will apply.

| Sale by Auction: |
|
- Our valuers each have specialist knowledge covering all sectors of the fine art, antique and collectables markets, and keep up to date with market developments in their specialist areas.
- Our archive of past sales results gives us an invaluable source of research data, ensuring that sellers benefit from the most current price information available.
- Bellmans also has close connections with the main London Salerooms and can where necessary seek confidential advice from world experts.
- We hold regular fine art and antique sales, as well as sales of specialist collections.
- Advice and an estimate of the auction value can be given if the items are brought into our saleroom Tuesday or Thursday from 9.30 - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm.
- An opinion can be given based on photographs sent via e-mail, post or brought in by hand.

Inheritance Tax, Insurance, Family Division and Willing Buyer/Willing Seller.

Our fully reseached written valuations can be provided with or without illustrations with extra copies for co-executors produced at no extra cost.
Our competitive fee for a formal valuation is £100 per hour plus VAT per valuer unless:

A half day valuation is charged at £350 plus VAT.
|
|
A full day valuation is charged at £600 plus VAT.
|
|
These charges maybe reduced or waived subject to sale by auction of some or all of the items with Bellmans.
|
|
|
Sweep Clean
|
|
Bellmans can advise on the complete house contents, recommending house clearers where a 'sweep clean' service is required.
|
|
|
Transport
|
|
We can arrange transport to collect single items or a complete house contents and arrange storage when required.
|
|
|
Selling
|
|
Specialist three day sales are held monthly, averaging around two thousand lots. A full catalogue is produced, with illustrations and estimates.
|
|
Antiquarian books and other printed material are sold every three months, for which a full catalogue is also produced.
